Howe Racing Remains As
Title Sponsor Of Newly Renamed CRA Late Model Sportsman Series
Salem, IN (January 10, 2009) –
Officials with Champion Racing Association are pleased to announce
that Howe Racing has agreed to continue to be the Title Sponsor of the
newly renamed CRA Late Model Sportsman Series for its upcoming 2009
racing season. For the past three seasons the series had been known as
the Howe CRA Sportsman Series with Championships claimed by Keith
Sterkowitz in 2006, Billy Hutson in 2007 and newly crowned 2008
Champion Tony Dager.

Racing back as the title sponsor of the Howe CRA Late Model Sportsman
Series for the 2009 season," remarked Glenn Luckett, Managing Partner
of Champion Racing Association. "We have seen tremendous growth in
this series
each season since it started in 2006. We appreciate everything Howe
Racing did for our competitors the last two seasons and we look
forward to a great 2009 season!"
The 2009 Howe CRA Late Model
Sportsman Champion will have the choice of receiving a bare Howe
Chassis (a $2,500 value) or a $1000 cash bonus from Howe Racing. Howe
Racing will award a $200 Product Certificate to second place in final
2009 series points, a $100 Product Certificate to third, a $75 Product
Certificate to fourth and a $50 Product Certificate to fifth. In
addition, Howe Racing will award each 2009 Howe CRA Late Model
Sportsman Series event winner with a $25 Product Certificate.
Dager was not only the series
Champion in 2008, he was also the series Rookie Of The Year. Dager
started out the season on a roll winning the series first four events
at three different racetracks, to take the points lead, a lead he
would keep through out the entire season. Veteran Rick Rinehart kept
up the chase through out the season, but would end up finishing second
in points for the second consecutive season. The series had a record
97 different driver’s compete during the 2008 season.
