Salem, IN (February 19, 2009) – Champion Racing Association Officials have announced that Hinchman Racing Uniforms will support Rookie Of The Year Awards in 2009 for the CRA Super Series, Howe CRA Late Model Sportsman Series, CRA Street Stocks and the Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts. Hinchman Racing Uniforms has been a sponsor of the CRA Super Series for several seasons. They will now expand that support to include the other CRA divisions for the 2009 season. This will be the first season that the Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts will have a Rookie Of The Year Award.

Hinchman Racing Uniforms will award each CRA divisions 2009 Rookie Of The Year Award winner with a $500 Product Certificate towards a new custom racing uniform. In addition, Hinchman Racing Uniforms will award the fourth place finisher in each division’s final 2009 points with a $200 Product Certificate towards a new custom racing uniform. All the Product Certificates will be awarded at the 2009 Champion Racing Association Awards Banquet.

To be eligible for the Rookie Of The Year Awards in each division, a driver must not have competed in more than 45% of the events in any prior season and not have won a feature event in that division in any prior season. Any event were a driver does not complete 50% of the laps of an event, that event will not count towards their total races completed. CRA officials must also approve all candidates that register to compete for the Rookie Of The Year Award. All racers wanting to compete for a 2009 Rookie Of The Year Award must register as an eligible rookie before competing in their first event of 2009.
