WearCrete Racing Performance Award to Include SpeedFest Event

Salem, IN (December 4, 2009) – Champion Racing Association officials have announced that the WearCrete Racing Performance Award, that was suppose to include the Winchester 400 on October 18th at Winchester Speedway and the CRA All American 400 event in Nashville, will now include the SpeedFest 2010 event at Lanier National Speedway on January 31, 2010, since the Nashville event was canceled.

The WearCrete Racing Performance Award will be an $800 cash bonus that will be awarded to the driver with the best overall finishes between the Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway, which was won by NASCAR star Kyle Busch, and the SpeedFest 2010 event at Lanier.

WearCrete Racing, located in Mooresville, North Carolina, is operated by late model competitor and former NASCAR fabricator Jeff Fultz, a former Champion with the old NASCAR All Pro Series, an ARCA Series winner. Jeff joined forces with team owner Curtis Venable in 2007 and won there first event on Labor Day weekend of that same season at Winchester Speedway with the CRA Super Series. Fultz returned to victory lane this past Labor Day Weekend at Winchester Speedway to get his second CRA Super Series victory, then got the victory in the North/South Shootout 125 at Concord Speedway on November 7th.

SpeedFest 2010 will start with an open practice on Friday, January 29th. Practice and qualifying will take place on Saturday, January 30th. The CRA SpeedFest 250 will be run on Sunday, January 31st. The event will see the Super Late Models compete for a chance at a $10,000 payday. The Pro Late Models will have a 150-lap event for $3000 to win. As was the case last year, there will be a $10,000 bonus if a driver can win both events!
