Salem, IN (December 3, 2009) – CRA Super Series Officials have announced that EDCO Welding & Hydraulic Service will continue to be the sponsor of the EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier Award with the CRA Super Series for the upcoming 2010 racing season. This will be the 14^th season of competition for the CRA Super Series, which began in 1997.

"We are very excited to continue our sponsorship with the CRA Super Series in 2010," remarked EDCO Welding proprietors Eddie and Donna Van Meter. "We have been involved with the CRA Super Series as competitors for several seasons and look forward to continuing to have our company work with the series through out the 2010 season and support each events fast qualifier!"

Each event’s EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier will receive a $100 bonus from EDCO Welding, except for the EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier of the Redbud 300 and Winchester 400, at those events the bonus from EDCO Welding will be $200. In order to receive the bonus, each events fast qualifier must have EDCO Welding stickers properly placed on both sides of their racecar prior to making their qualifying attempt, if not, the bonus will be carried over to the next series event, doubling that events fast qualifier award.

EDCO Welding & Hydraulic Service has certified welding services for specialty machinery, prototypes, components, tolling and fixtures. Their capabilities include MIG & TIG welding as well as the capacity for large precision weldments. EDCO specializes in light gauge sheet metal fabrication, especially carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum sheet stock up to a quarter inch thick. Eddie Van Meter first raced with the CRA Super Series in 1999, he competed full-time with the series from 2000 through the 2006 season finishing as high as second in series driver points during the 2005 season. He got his first series win at Angola Motor Speedway in July of 2006. Since 2007 Van Meter has been a part-time competitor with the series, while continuing to compete in some regional Figure Eight events with the IOFS Outlaw Figure Eight Series. Eddie and Donna’s son Billy will be competing for Rookie of the Year honors in the CRA Street Stocks in 2010.
