The Scott Performance
Wire Four State Challenge Continues at Berlin Saturday
Salem, IN (August 3, 2009) –
The second event with the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge
for the CRA Super Series will take place this Saturday with the
Radisson Grand Rapids 125 at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan. The
Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge is an award program based
upon four selected CRA Super Series points events in the four states
the series will have points events in 2009.
The Scott
Performance
Wire Four State Challenge began with the Redbud 300 Presented by Great
Deals at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana last Monday, were
NASCAR competitor Kyle Busch emerged with the lead in the challenge
with 108 points after winning the event and qualifying second. Busch
is not entered for this Saturday’s CRA event at Berlin Raceway so the
two drivers tied for second place in Challenge points, Rick Turner and
series point’s leader Johnny VanDoorn, who have 97 points a piece,
will look to capitalize on Busch’s absence. Also in the mix are Aaron
Pierce and three time series Champion Scott Hantz who are tied for
fourth only three points behind Turner and VanDoorn with 94 points a
piece.
Hantz was the winner of last season’s
Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge in a close battle with
Turner that wasn’t decided until the last lap in the final event of
the Challenge at Berlin. The other two events in the Scott Performance
Wire Four State Challenge in 2009 will be the August 14th
event at Toledo Speedway located in Toledo, Ohio, and will conclude
with the rescheduled Budweiser All American 150 at the Fairgrounds
Speedway in Nashville on Sunday, August 23rd.
The Scott Performance Wire Four State
Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the
four events a $700 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The
second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge
will receive a $500 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott
Performance Wire Four State Challenge will receive a $300 bonus. Scott
