Hantz Leads Scott
Performance Wire Four State Challenge Heading to Nashville
Salem, IN (August 20, 2009) –
Three-time series Champion Scott Hantz leads the Scott Performance
Wire Four State Challenge heading into Sunday’s CRA Budweiser 150
Presented By The Kyle Busch Foundation at the Fairgrounds Speedway
located in Nashville, Tennessee. The Scott Performance Wire Four State
Challenge is an award program based upon four selected CRA Super
Series points events in the four states the series will have points
events in 2009. The Challenge started with the July 27th
event at Anderson Speedway located in Anderson, Indiana were Hantz
came away with 94 points. The second event in the Challenge was last
Friday’s event at Toledo Speedway, located in Toledo, Ohio were Hantz
won the event and came away with 106 points, giving him a total of 200
points after two of the four events in the Challenge. Hantz
was
the winner of last season’s Challenge.
Veteran series racer Rick Turner is
currently second in the Challenge with 194 points after scoring 97
points in each event so far. Turner led the Challenge going into the
final event last season before Hantz claimed the title after out
pointing Turner in the last event. John VanDoorn is currently in third
place with 181 points. Aaron Pierce is fourth with 172 points. NASCAR
competitor Kyle Busch is currently fifth with 170 points, he was the
winner at the Anderson event, but finished 23rd last Friday
after a broken suspension part caused his car to hit the wall. Kenny
Tweedy and Tyler Roahrig are tied with Busch in fifth place.
Sunday’s event in Nashville is the
third round of the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge. The
fourth and final round will be the rescheduled event at Berlin Raceway
located in Marne, Michigan, on Saturday, October 10th.
The Scott Performance Wire Four State
Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the
four events a $700 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The
second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge
will receive a $500 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott
Performance Wire Four State Challenge will receive a $300 bonus. Scott
Performance Wire will also award the 2009 CRA Super Series Champion
with a set of Scott Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott
Performance Wires that will be given away by random draw of the top
fifteen teams in final series points at the 2009 series awards
banquet.
