Wire Four State Challenge to Begin in Nashville this Weekend
Salem, IN (April 30, 2009) –
The Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge for the CRA Super
Series is set to begin with the Budweiser All American 150 at the
Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville this Sunday, May 3rd were
Danny Denson has taken over as the promoter of that historic facility
formerly called the Music City Motorplex. The Scott Performance Wire
Four State Challenge is an award program based upon four selected CRA
Super Series points events in the four states the series will have
points events in 2009. The other three events in the Scott Performance
Wire Four State Challenge in 2009 will be the Redbud 300 on June 16th
at Anderson
Speedway
in Anderson, Indiana, the July 31st event at Toledo
Speedway located in Toledo, Ohio and will conclude with the August 8th
event at Berlin Raceway located in Marne, Michigan.
The Scott Performance Wire Four State
Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the
four events a $700 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The
second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge
will receive a $500 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott
Performance Wire Four State Challenge will receive a $300 bonus. Scott
Performance Wire will also award the 2009 CRA Super Series Champion
with a set of Scott Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott
Performance Wires that will be given away by random draw of the top
fifteen teams in final series points at the 2009 series awards
banquet.
2008 CRA Super Series Champion Scott
Hantz was the winner of last seasons Scott Performance Wire Four State
Challenge overtaking Rick Turner and his six point lead at the
Challenge’s last event at Berlin Raceway. Hantz would finish in second
in that event, that combined with Turner’s eleventh place finish gave
Hantz an 18 point advantage. Turner held on to second over his
teammate Zach Taylor who finished in third, 19 points behind Turner.
John VanDoorn finished in fourth with Aaron Pierce in fifth.
