(April 7th, 2009) - The US Army/Fagin Motorsports race team with
driver Brandon Fagin announced today they are back together
for the full Championship Racing Association season.
"We have developed a great
relationship with the US Army over the last two seasons. Our Indiana
program coincides with the national NASCAR program. Our local new
recruits get the opportunity to be honorary pit crew members at the
track.
They are excited about
joining the greatest fighting force in the world and seeing the big
star on the hood of our racecar." said team owner Paul Fagin.
Driver Brandon Fagin stated
"We have gotten our feet wet over the last two seasons. We have
learned a lot, and haven’t torn up much stuff. We just purchased a new
engine which I feel that was the last step needed to make a run at the
rookie of the year title in 2009."
Fagin is one of the teams
competing for the CRA K & N Filter "Rookie of the year" award. This
will be the first year for the US Army/Fagin Motorsports team to
compete in the full CRA season.
Brandon Fagin a product of
Cloverdale, Indiana, has been a firefighter for the city of
Evansville, Indiana for the past eleven years. Fagin started his
racing career on the 1/4 mile dirt of the Lincoln Park Speedway in
Putnamville, Indiana.
Fagin has competed in ARCA,
ASA, CARS, ARTS and ARA. He was a feature winner at the 16th Street
Speedway in Indianapolis in the Classic Car Series. One of those in
competition was the President and CEO of the Indianapolis Motor
Speedway, Tony George.
