Final Round Of The
Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge Is Saturday At Berlin
Salem, IN (September 9, 2008)
– The final round of The Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge
for the CRA Super Series will take place this Saturday in the $10,000
to win Boyne At Berlin 125 at Berlin Raceway, located in Marne,
Michigan. The Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge is an award
program based upon four selected CRA Super Series points events in the
four states the series will have points events in 2008.
The Scott Performance Wire Four State
Challenge began with the Hoosier Hills 100 at Salem Speedway in Salem,
Indiana on June 7th, were Rick Turner emerged as the point
leader after finishing fourth in that event as well as being the
Appleton Rack & Pinion Fast Qualifier. Turner
continued
to lead after the second Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge
event at the Music City Motorplex in Nashville, Tennessee on July 20th
were Turner finished third. Turner kept the lead after being the
Appleton Rack & Pinion Fast Qualifier and got a eighth place finish in
the third round on August 1 in the Crown On-line 100 at Toledo
Speedway, located in Toledo, Ohio. Turner has 294 points so far in the
three events.
Turner has a six point lead over
current series Championship points leader Scott Hantz, who won the
Nashville event and finished third in the Salem event and was third in
the Toledo event, he has 288 points in the Scott Performance Wire Four
State Challenge standings. The difference has been qualifying points
in those three events. Turner has 24 qualifying points in those three
events compared with zero qualifying points for Hantz in the same
three events. Turner is currently second in series Championship points
heading into this Saturday’s event.
K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year
candidate Zach Taylor is currently third in Scott Performance Wire
Four State Challenge points with 277, putting him 11 points behind
Hantz. Jeff Lane is in fourth with 266 points and JR Roahrig is fifth
with 265 points, but neither of those two drivers are entered for this
weekend’s event. K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year point’s leader Aaron
Pierce is next in line in sixth place with 258 points.
The Scott Performance Wire Four State
Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the
four events a $700 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The
second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge
will receive a $500 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott
Performance Wire Four State Challenge will receive a $300 bonus. Scott
Performance Wire will also award the 2008 CRA Super Series Champion
with a set of Scott Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott
Performance Wires that will be given away by random draw of the top
fifteen teams in final series points at the 2008 series awards
banquet.
