Salem, IN (October 24, 2008) – K & N Filters Rookie competitor Robert Maynor has claimed the 2008 Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Award by gaining 86 positions in the fifteen series points events during the 2008 season, which is an average of almost six gained positions an event. In the series last point’s event last Saturday at Berlin Raceway, Maynor failed to gain any positions after starting 26^th and finishing 26^th after damage to his radiator forced him to retire early from the event, but Maynor had built up a big enough lead that no one was able to catch him.

Maynor’s largest gain at any event during the season was 17 positions in the Winchester 400 were he started 31^st and finished 14^th. Maynor was twice the ISKY Racing Cams/Lane Automotive Hardcharger Of The Race Award winner during the season. K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year Aaron Pierce finished in second with 70 gained positions during the season, he was also the ISKY Racing Cams/Lane Automotive Hardcharger Of The Race Award winner twice during the season. Jason Shively finished in third with 52 gained positions, 2008 series Champion Scott Hantz was fourth with 46 gained positions and Terry Fisher Jr. was fifth with 42 gained positions.

Maynor will also receive a $100 Product Certificate from Racing Electronics for the Racing Electronics Season Hardcharger Award winner at the banquet.
