CRA Super Series Heads
South For The Southern Slam 250
Salem, IN (November 18, 2008)
– Just as some of the North and Mid-west received there first
snowflakes of the season, the CRA Super Series is ready to head south
for the 1st Annual Southern Slam 250, a 250 lap, $10,000 to
win late model event that will take place on November 21st,
22nd and 23rd at the South Georgia Motorsports
Park located just outside of Valdosta, Georgia.

30 of the best late model teams in
the country have all ready pre-entered for this huge event, with more
expected to enter as they arrive this weekend. The entry list has been
bolstered by the addition of several top drivers over the past two
weeks including Kyle Busch Development Driver Alex Haase from North
Carolina, the 2008 PASS South Champion, Augie Grill from Alabama, Ben
Rowe and Corey Williams from Maine, Chase Austin from Kansas, Allen
Karnes and Allen Gordon from Georgia and Florida ‘s Wayne Anderson,
Fain Skinner and Daryl Shelnut.
The event will start on Friday,
November 21st with an open practice for all divisions plus
feature events for the local Late Models, Wild One’s, Race’em and
Wreck’em and Powder Puff divisions. Saturday, November 22nd
will have practice and qualifying for the 1st Annual
Southern Slam 250. On Saturday evening there will be more racing
action including the first ever Open Wheel Modified event at SGMP,
Super Stocks, Hobby Stocks and the Last Chance Race to fill out the
line-up for the 1st Annual Southern Slam 250. The 1st
Annual Southern Slam 250 will take the green flag at 2pm on Sunday,
November 23rd.
The 1st Annual Southern
Slam 250 will feature live pit stops and super racing action with a 36
car starting field at the premier 1/2 mile D-shaped, progressive
banked, asphalt track in the southeast. There will be a bonus package
for the top finishing CRA Super Series competitors, the PASS Super
Late Model Touring Series competitors, the Florida late model
competitors and bonuses for other top late model competitors from all
over the country.
