Louisville, KY (November 12, 2008) – Chuck Barnes Jr. Racing is seeking a funded driver who is interested in competing in a late model racecar with a proven winning team in the CRA Super Series or at selected big late model events during the 2009 season. Chuck Barnes Sr., who has 27 years of success owning racecars and driving them to numerous wins and championships, is the owner of the team. Barnes Sr. has won the Frank Kimmel Street Stock Nationals two years in a row at Kentucky Speedway and is the all time winner on the famed High Banks of Salem Speedway including this past seasons Firecracker 200 and Halloween 200 events.

Chuck Barnes Jr. will be the Crew Chief and Driver Coach for the driver of #55 late model. Barnes Jr. was the 2003 CRA Super Series Rookie Of The Year and the 2004 CRA Super Series Champion. Barnes Jr. was the winner of the famed All American 400 event in Nashville in 2004 and won an ARCA RE/MAX Series event in his first ever race with that series in 2006. Barnes Jr. has five CRA Super Series wins to date including a win at Salem Speedway this past August. Barnes Jr. has been the Crew Chief for his dad’s wins at Kentucky Speedway and his recent big wins at Salem Speedway. Barnes Jr. has been a set up specialist on several teams competing at Salem Speedway and other racetracks for several years. Barnes Jr. also spent some time working for the Petty Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Team in 2007 and early 2008.

The Chuck Barnes Jr. Racing Late Model Program will be able to provide a driver with a competitive racecar and the instruction of proven race winners and Champions at every event. This opportunity will provide excellent experience for any driver seeking to advance their racing careers competing against some of the best short track drivers in the country.
