Salem, IN (May 9, 2008) – Hartsville, Tennessee native Zach Taylor has taken the early lead in the K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year Standings with the CRA Super Series after one event. Taylor’s fifth place finish for the Great Deals Racing team in the April 27th Manning Service 100 at Winchester Speedway earning him the first K & N Filters Rookie Of The Race Award of the 2008 season which netted the team a $100 cash bonus and a $25 Product Certificate from K & N Filters along with a $50 Product Certificate from VDL Fuel Systems.

Fellow rookie Aaron Pierce, currently living in Phoenix, Arizona, is only two points behind Taylor after finishing right behind him in the season opener in sixth place.
