CRA Super Sunday To
Showcase All Four CRA Divisions
Salem, IN (May 13, 2008) – The
coming Sunday’s CRA Super Sunday event at Baer Field Speedway in Ft.
Wayne, Indiana will showcase all four Champion Racing Association’s
sanctioned
racing divisions including the CRA Super Series, Howe CRA Sportsman
Series, CRA Street Stocks, and Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA FWD
Compacts. The event will provide race fans with a full afternoon of
exciting racing action on both the 3/8 mile and 1/2 mile tracks at
Baer Field Speedway.
Sunday’s CRA Super Sunday 100
Presented By Dietsch Sales & Service and Klotz Lubricants for the CRA
Super Series will be the second event of the 2008 season for the
series after the first three scheduled events were postponed because
of weather. Angola’s Scott Hantz, a two time series Champion,
was
the winner of the season opener at Winchester Speedway and comes in as
the series point’s leader. Sunday’s event will be the 11th
series event at Baer Field Speedway, Hantz is the series all-time
victory leader at Baer Field Speedway with three victories including a
victory in last seasons event over veterans Jeff Lane and Jack Landis.
All three drivers involved in the
battle for last year’s victory will be on hand along with series
regulars Jason Dietsch, Kenny Tweedy, JR Roahrig, Terry Fisher Jr.,
Sean Matthuis, Jason Shively, John VanDoorn, Rick Turner and A.J.
Ganino. The series will also have a strong group of rookie competitors
including Zach Taylor, the current leader in K & N Filters Rookie Of
The Year points, Aaron Pierce, Ft. Wayne’s own Tommy Cook, Robert
Maynor, Adam Purdy and Donald Karr Jr. Al Cook Jr., Tommy’s older
brother, will driver a second Fehl Motorsports car for veteran series

The Howe CRA Sportsman Series will
have their third and fourth events of the season this weekend at Baer
Field Speedway on the ½ mile track. On Saturday the series will
compete at the track’s opening night with the local Baer Field
divisions. The series will then come back and compete as part
of
Sunday’s events as well. Rookie competitor Tony Dager has started off
the season with a bang getting two victories in a row and has the
current points lead over veteran Rick Rinehart. Rookie Nick Lay has
two straight third place finishes in the first two events, which has
put him in third place in points.
The events will be the first of nine
events for the series at Baer Field Speedway as the series has
replaced the track’s late model division for the 2008 season. A great
field of cars is expected, the last series event at Baer Field in 2007
attracted 34 cars. Last season Chad Richardson, Zach Hulvey and 2007
series Champion Billy Hutson all claimed victories with the series at
Baer Field Speedway, all three are expected to compete in Sunday’s
event.

last event on May 4th at Winchester Speedway. In that event
Beaver held off Brian Hopkins to get the victory, Hopkins is currently
second in series points with teenager Winston Wood in third place.

Speedway, he is currently fifth in series points, right behind Larry
Matillo. Ft. Wayne veteran racer Steve Christman was victorious in the
series two events at Baer Field last season for Championship car owner
