Salem, IN (June 17, 2008) – Officials from Champion Racing Association have announced that the CRA Street Stock events scheduled for July 12^th and August 16^th at O’Reilly Raceway Park have been canceled, but with the great success of this past Saturday’s series event at Anderson Speedway, Anderson Promoter Rick Dawson has decided to add an event at Anderson Speedway for the series on Saturday, July 12^th.

"We had booked those ORP events with the previous owners of ARA who lease ORP for their events," remarked R.J. Scott, Managing Partner of Champion Racing Association. "The previous owner sold the company and the new owners decided it was not in their best interest to have the CRA Street Stock events as part of their shows on those two dates. We greatly appreciate Rick Dawson stepping up to take one of those dates at his track. We hope our series racers will support that event like they did this past Saturday!"

Anderson Speedway hosted the CRA Street Stock 200 this past Saturday night were 49 cars entered and 46 started the event that was won by Owensboro, Kentucky native Beau Mitchell.

"We had great support from the racers for Saturday’s show," remarked Dawson, "I hated to see the series lose two events, so I thought I would step up and take another show to give the series racers another event during the 2008 season. We look forward to having the series back on July 12^th and again for the previously scheduled event on August 9^th."

The July 12^th CRA Street Stock event at Anderson Speedway will be a regular event with a 75-lap feature. The CRA Street Stocks are still scheduled to have an event at ORP on Saturday September 20^th as part of the Circle Track Classic Championships that is being promoted by Champion Racing Association and Rick Dawson.
