to his roots to compete in the CRA 100 Late Model event Friday

Wallace’s Nationwide car. David has also won an ARCA RE/MAX Series
race at Michigan International Speedway.
From a family where his mother,
father, sister and brother are also racers, David has returned to the
Championship Racing Association (CRA) Late Model touring series,
competing with the group when his schedule permits. The tour will make
its annual stop at the Toledo track Friday evening, August 1.
Toledo fans will be familiar with
several of the early entrants for the CRA 100, as Scott Hantz, Brent
Jack and John VanDoorn have all inked entries for the race. The trio
each have been in competition in the ARCA outlaw Late Model ranks in
the past seasons. Jack has a win to his credit this year in a 50 lap
contest, while VanDoorn, at the wheel of past ARCA RE/MAX Series
champion Tim Steele’s car, won a 100 lap event in 2007. Former Toledo
Sportsman driver Adam Purdy of Taylor, MI is also entered.
A field of 25-30 cars is expected for
the August 1 event. Practice begins at 4 p.m. for the CRA cars, with
the track’s weekly Factory Stock and 4 Cylinder divisions also in
action.
Kid’s Night features FREE admission
