Round Three Of The Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge Is Friday At Toledo

Salem, IN (July 30, 2008) – Round Three Of The Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge for the CRA Super Series will take place this Friday in the Crown Online 100 Toledo Speedway, located in Toledo, Ohio. The Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge is an award program based upon four selected CRA Super Series points events in the four states the series will have points events in 2008.

The Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge began with the Hoosier Hills 100 at Salem Speedway in Salem, Indiana on June 7th, were Rick Turner emerged as the point leader after finishing fourth in that event as well as being the Appleton Rack & Pinion Fast Qualifier. Turner continues to lead after the second Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge event at the Music City Motorplex in Nashville, Tennessee on July 20th were Turner finished third.

Turner has a six point lead over current series Championship points leader Scott Hantz, who won the Nashville event and finished third in the Salem event in the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge points. The difference has been qualifying points in those two events. Turner has 14 qualifying points in those two events compared with zero qualifying points for Hantz in the same two events. Turner is currently third in series Championship points heading into Friday’s event.

K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year candidate Zach Taylor is currently tied for third with Bill Elliott Development Driver Mitch Cobb in Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge points with 181 a piece, putting them 13 points behind Hantz. Cobb is not entered for Friday’s event at this time. Jeff lane is currently fifth in Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge points, just one point behind Taylor and Cobb.

The remaining event in the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge after Friday’s event will be the September 13th $10,000 to win Boyne at Berlin Weekend event at Berlin Raceway located in Marne, Michigan.

The Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the four events a $700 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge will receive a $500 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge will receive a $300 bonus. Scott Performance Wire will also award the 2008 CRA Super Series Champion with a set of Scott Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott Performance Wires that will be given away by random draw of the top fifteen teams in final series points at the 2008 series awards banquet.
