Howe CRA Sportsman Series To Be Part Of Hoosier 200 At Baer Field Speedway

Salem, IN (July 1, 2008) – Baer Field Speedway promoter Tom Ish recently announced the return of the Hoosier 200 to Baer Field Speedway on Saturday, September 6th. The Hoosier 200 will consist of a 100 lap event for the Howe CRA Sportsman Series and a 100 lap Modified event. Both events will be contested on the ½ mile at Baer Field Speedway and both events will pay the winner $2000.

"We are really excited to bring back this event to Baer Field Speedway," remarked Ish. "Having both the Howe CRA Sportsman Series and the Modifieds each run 100 lap events will provide the fans and competitors with two great feature events in one exciting race program. Both events will have a great field of competitors racing for a great payoff!"

The Howe CRA Sportsman Series was originally scheduled to compete at Baer Field Speedway nine times in 2008, but the last two scheduled events there on June 7th and June 21st were both canceled because of weather. The series next event will be this Thursday, July 3 at Angola Motor Speedway in the Ashley Transport 75. The series will then be back at Baer Field Speedway on Saturday, July 5 to compete in the U. S. Military 50 on the 3/8-mile track
