Howe Racing To Be
Title Sponsor Of The CRA Sportsman Series Again In 2008
Salem, IN (January 21, 2008) –
Officials with Champion Racing Association are pleased to announce
that Howe Racing has agreed to continue to be the Title Sponsor of the
Howe CRA Sportsman
Series
for its upcoming 2008 racing season. The Howe CRA Sportsman Series 18
event 2008 schedule will begin on Saturday, April 19th at
Anderson Speedway and end on Saturday, October 11th at
Winchester Speedway.
"We are very excited to have Howe
Racing back as the title sponsor of the CRA Sportsman Series again in
2008," remarked Glenn Luckett, Managing Partner of Champion Racing
Association. "This will be the third season for this series and we are
expecting it to continue to grow stronger with each event with its
expanded 2008 schedule and with taking over the Baer Field Speedway
Late Model racing events. We appreciate everything Howe Racing did for
our competitors in 2007 and we look forward to a great 2008 season!"
The 2008 Howe CRA Sportsman Champion
will have the choice of receiving a bare Howe Chassis (a $2,500 value)
or a $1000 cash bonus from Howe Racing. Howe Racing will award a $200
Product Certificate to second place in final 2008 series points, a
$100 Product Certificate to third, a $75 Product Certificate to fourth
and a $50 Product Certificate to fifth. In addition, Howe Racing will
award each 2008 Howe CRA Sportsman Series event winner with a $25
Product Certificate.
Billy Hutson was the 2007 Howe CRA
Sportsman Champion beating out veteran Rick Rinehart, but not until
the checkered flag fell on the series last event of the season. Hutson
lost his points lead during that event after being involved in a huge
accident that took out several other competitors. With the help of his
crew and several other teams, Hutson was able to get back on the track
and make enough laps to win the Championship after Rinehart was also
forced to pit with a flat tire. In all the series had 73 different
teams compete in 2007
