Four Former Nashville Winners The Latest To Enter All American 150

Salem, IN (February 22, 2008) – Four former winners in late models at the Music City Motorplex are some of the latest drivers to enter the CRA Super Series All American 150 in Nashville, Tennessee on March 29th. The group includes Wheaton, Illinois driver Eddie Hoffman who has scored three victories with the ASA Late Model Series in the four ASA Late Model Series events that series had at the Music City Motorplex during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. Hoffman, driving for Tom Kmak’s 2005 CRA Super Series Owners Championship winning TK Racing, is still trying to claim his first Copley Guitar Trophy for winning a CRA Super Series sanctioned event in Nashville. The veteran Mid-west racer has seven CRA Super Series victories to date including SpeedFest 2007.

2005 Adam Petty Memorial All American 400 winner Jason Hogan has filed an entry. The Cleveland, Georgia driver came close to getting his second All American victory last November, John VanDoorn made a late charge after pitting and passed Hogan for the lead with eight laps to go, VanDoorn got the CRA Super Series event victory, Hogan would go on to finish second. The talented late model veteran is always a threat to win with his Hogan Motorports Team.

2007 Spring Clash 150 winner Nathan Haseleu has filed an entry to defend his spring Nashville victory. The Pardeeville, Wisconsin native will race again for Gary Schultz’s Illinois based team in 2008. Haseleu won the inaugural ASA Midwest Series Championship in 2007 and claimed back-to-back Wisconsin Challenge Championships in 2006 and 2007. The former Roush Racing NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver lead 149 of the 150 laps in last years spring event holding off Josh Vadnais to get the win, Haseleu worked the high groove, giving Vadnais the low groove over the last ten laps. Vadnais led lap 146, but Haseleu would grab the lead back for good on the next lap, going to get the exciting victory.

2006 Spring Clash 150 winner Eddie Mercer has also filed an entry for the All American 150. The Pensacola, Florida veteran looks to claim his second Copley Guitar Trophy, but will be using the All American 150 to get ready for his main goal of winning the All American 400 in November. The former Snowball Derby winner wants to add the All American 400 win to his list of achievements before ending his racing career.

Anderson, Indiana’s Donald Karr Jr. and Plainfield, Illinois’s Nick Baran have also now filed entries for the All American 150. Both drivers will be competing for the series Rookie Of The Year award in 2008 after competing part-time in 2007. Chelsea, Alabama native Josh Hamner has also filed an entry this week. The son of famed engine builder Jeff Hamner has become one of the top Southern late model drivers over the past couple of seasons. To date there are now 29 cars pre-entered for the All American 150, the first 45 entries for the All American 150 are guaranteed a pit stall inside the track.

The All American 150 for the CRA Super Series late models will be part of the big 2008 Spring Clash Weekend on March 28th and 29th at the Music City Motorplex, which will also include a 75-lap event for the O’Reilly USA Modified Series and a special-points 75-lap Shoot-out event between the CRA Street Stocks and the MCM Sportsman.

This will be the third season in a row that the CRA Super Series has opened its point’s season at the famed oval with a 150-lap event. The Saturday night, March 29th event will be a tune-up to the prestigious Adam Petty Memorial All American 400 on Sunday, November 2nd. The All American 150 will pay $5000 to win, but more importantly, the top three finishers will have a guaranteed start for the CRA sanctioned Adam Petty Memorial All American 400.

The 2008 Spring Clash Weekend will kick off with an open practice for all three divisions on Friday, March 28th. Pits will open at 12noon Central Time; practice will start at 3:30pm and will go until 7:30pm. Pits will open on Saturday, March 29th at 9am, practice will begin at 12noon, with qualifying starting at 4pm. The race program will begin at 7pm on Saturday with last chance races first, then the three feature events starting with the 75-lap event for the O’Reilly USA Modified Series, followed by the All-American 150 for the CRA Super Series, and ending with the 75-lap CRA Street Stock/MCM Sportsman Shoot-out.
