Salem, IN (August 28, 2008) – K & N Filters Rookie Of The Year competitor Robert Maynor still has the lead in the Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Standings with 53 gained positions after eleven events so far in the 2008 season, heading into Monday’s McGunegill Engine Performance 100 Presented By The U.S. Army at Winchester Speedway. Maynor gained eight positions in the series last event at Salem Speedway to give him a six position lead over current series points leader Scott Hantz who has 47 gained positions so far this season including gaining six positions in getting a fifth place finish at the Salem event.

Terry Fisher Jr. is 10 positions behind Hantz in third place with 37 gained positions after losing one position in the Salem event. Adam Purdy is now in fourth place with 32 gained positions after gaining three positions in getting a career best finish of sixth place in the Salem event. Jason Shively is now in fifth place with 30 gained positions for the season, he did not compete in the Salem event.

A driver has to be in the top 15 in series points to be eligible for this award. The final race in the Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Standings will be the Winchester 400 Presented By The Ed Martin Auto Group and Renegade on Sunday, October 12^th, the last series point’s event of the 2008 season.
