Sportsman Ready For Return To Baer Field Speedway
Salem, IN (September 11, 2007)
– The Howe CRA Sportsman Series is ready to return to Baer Field
Speedway for its 10th event of the 2007 season this
Saturday, September 15th. This was an added show that was
not on the original schedule, but was added at the request of Baer
Field
Speedway
after two very successful shows earlier in the season.
Charlie Hanna became the first repeat
winner with the series in 2007 by winning the Maple-Tarr 40 at
Winchester Speedway on Labor Day Weekend, both his wins came at
Winchester Speedway. The series other winners so far in 2007 include
Rick Rinehart, Billy Hutson, and Stuart Quakenbush at the other
Winchester Speedway events to date. Chad Richardson and Zach Hulvey
got wins at the Baer Field Speedway events, Steve Blair the win at
Anderson Speedway, and Nathan Herron the win at Shady Bowl Speedway.
Billy Hutson continues to lead the
series points with only three events left in the season including
Saturday’s event at Baer Field Speedway. Rick Rinehart continues to
apply the pressure in second, he has now narrowed down the point
deficit to 29 behind Hutson. Rookie Charlie Hanna is still in third 51
points behind Rinehart with fellow rookie Tim Greene 36 points behind
in fourth place. Rookie Gabe Cerny is in fifth place in points, 75
points behind Greene In all 59 different teams have participated with
the Howe CRA Sportsman Series so far in 2007.
Pit gates will open this Saturday at
Baer Field Speedway at 1pm, practice will begin at 2:30 with
qualifying at 5pm. The race program will begin at 7pm and will include
heat races and a 50-lap feature for the Howe CRA Sportsman Series.
