Winchester, IN (October 1, 2007) – The CRA Street Stocks will have a special non-points event on Friday, October 12^th of the 36^th Annual Winchester 400 Weekend Presented By Ed Martin Auto Group and Renegade. The event will be a 25 lap "New Star" non-points race open only to drivers that have never won a CRA Street Stock point’s event. Previous race winners and their cars will not be eligible for that event. The event will pay $300 to win down to $50 to start.

There will be an open practice on Friday, October 12^th for all divisions racing during the Winchester 400 weekend. If there are at least six former CRA Street Stock feature winners present on Friday, there will be a special 10-lap Dash for Cash for those cars on that Friday night. Participants will draw for their starting positions in that event which will pay the top three finishers, $200 to win, $100 for second and $50 for third. The CRA Street Stocks will have their final points event of the season on Saturday evening, October 13^th.

Pits will open on that Friday at 11am, Open Practice will go from 2 to 6pm. Qualifying for Friday night’s racing will begin at 6pm with the race program starting at 7pm. Friday nights racing action will also include the Season Championship events for the Howe CRA Sportsman Series and the Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts.
