CRA Well Represented In 19th Annual Halloween 200 At Salem Speedway
 
(10/28/07) - Champion Racing Association was well represented in Sunday afternoon's 19th Annual Halloween 200 at Salem Speedway, with many competitors from the CRA Street Stocks making up a good portion of the 78 car starting field. Chuck Barnes Sr., a part-time competitor with the CRA Street Stocks, claimed his amazing fifth victory in the Fall Classic event, beating Frank Kimmel II, who claimed his first street stock victory in May at Winchester Speedway with the CRA Street Stocks.
 
Rich Boyer was the highest finishing CRA regular competitor finishing in fourth on the lead lap after coming back from an early wreck that took off most of the front body of his car. Carl Muffley finished in fifth, Bubba Trinkle in sixth and Rod Phipps in ninth, all on the lead lap.
 
Other CRA Street Stock competitors in the event included 14th place Beau Mitchell, 18th place Phil Evans, 22nd place Steve Christman in the Steve Davis owned 2007 CRA Street Stock Championship winning car, 27th place Missy Perry, 29th place Johnny Magee, 31st place Joe Williamson, 50th place Brian Hopkins, 57th place Fred Hopkins, 61st place John Heck, 66th place Jason Williams, 77th place Joe Beaver, driving for Salem's Steve Stewart.
 
CRA Managing Partner R.J. Scott was also racing in the event and lead some laps early in the race before power steering problems sidelined him on lap 56 giving him a 60th place finish. Scott was running in the top five when his problems started.
