Salem, IN (October 26, 2007) – Ray Mooi won the Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Award for the CRA Super Series with 65 gained positions through out the 2007 season. Mooi, who did not race the last series point’s event of the season, he raced with the ARCA RE/MAX Series at Toledo Speedway on the same date as the season ending Winchester 400 event. Even with out competing in the final points event of the season, Mooi had a big enough lead to claim the award. Mooi finished 12^th in overall series Championship points and finished third in series Rookie Of The Year points.

Fellow rookie contender Sean Matthuis finished in second with 59 gained positions during the season. Matthuis gained 11 positions in the Winchester 400, overcoming damage from an on track incident to finish 14^th in that event after starting 25^th. Jason Dietsch finished in third with 58 gained positions during the season, including gaining eight positions in the Winchester 400 while finishing 11^th. Rookie Nick Baran finished in fourth with 24 positions gained with Terry Fisher Jr. in fifth with 22 positions gained, including 13 gained positions in the Winchester 400. Jack Smith finished a close sixth with 21 gained positions despite a lot of bad luck during the 2007 season.
