CRA Super Series
Article In August Stock Car Racing
Salem, IN (June 15, 2007) –
The CRA Super Series has recently received some great publicity with a
six page article in the August edition of the Stock Car Racing
magazine that hit newsstands this week. The article talks about the
series history and how it was developed. It talks about the great
racing and competition the series has had and the great pool of
talented drivers that have raced with the series.
The article was written by Don
Hamilton with photo’s by Kevin Thorne, Don does a great job of
covering the history of late model racing in the Mid-west and the part
that the CRA Super Series has played in that history going into it’s
11th season of competition. There are some great quotes from several
big name racers who have competed with the series.
"We greatly appreciate Don taking the
time to do this article on our series and for Stock Car Racing to
publish it," remarked Glenn Luckett, Director of the CRA Super Series.
"He did a fantastic job covering the history of late model racing in
the Mid-west, and how we fit into that history. He does a great job of
explaining R.J. Scott’s and my plan of building an economy touring
series were drivers from all over the country could compete on an
equal level. It’s always great to get publicity for your series,
especially in a great magazine like Stock Car Racing!"
The pictures and most of the
information was gathered at the series season opening Spring Clash 150
event at the Music City Motorplex at the Fairgrounds in Nashville,
Tennessee. The article describes the great racing that took place at
that event including the great battle for the win between eventual
winner Nathan Haseleu and Josh Vadnais. That event took place on
Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1.
The article also talks about the
$50,000 to win Triple Crown and the events involved with that
including the $10,000 to win Circle Track Nationals at ORP on
September 22nd, the Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway
on October 14th and the All American 400 at the Music City
Motorplex on November 4th.
The article also talks about the
other divisions that Champion Racing Association sanctions including
the Howe CRA Sportsman, CRA Street Stocks and Vore’s Welding & Steel
CRA FWD Compacts.
