Chris Gabehart Leads The Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge

Salem, IN (June 7, 2007) – CRA Super Series points leader Chris Gabehart also leads the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge standings, an award program based upon four selected CRA Super Series points events in the four states the series will have points events in 2007. The Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge began with the Spring Clash 150 CRA Super Series season opening event at the Music City Motorplex at the Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee on April 1st.

The second event was suppose to be the Berlin 125 Presented By Spray Power at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan on May 26th, but that event was postponed to later in the season because of rain. That made this past Saturday’s Sizzle Marine 125 Presented By EMH&T and Howe Racing at Columbus Motor Speedway the second event in the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge. Gabehart has not finished out of the top five yet this season and leads the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge with his fifth place finishes at Nashville and last Saturday.

The Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the four events a $600 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge will receive a $400 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge will receive a $200 bonus. Scott Performance Wire will also award the 2007 CRA Super Series Champion with a set of Scott Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott Performance Wires that will be given away by random draw of the top fifteen teams in final series points at the 2007 series awards banquet.

Rookie Of The Year contender John Van Doorn is currently in second place in the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge standings with his best ever second place finish last Saturday. Van Doorn is 15 points behind Gabehart. 2006 series Champion Scott Hantz is third 24 points behind Gabehart, JR Roahrig and Bobby Parsley are tied for fourth 26 points behind Gabehart.

The other two events in the Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge will be the September 3rd Labor Day event at Winchester Speedway located in Winchester, Indiana and the rescheduled event at Berlin Raceway on September 15th.
