Yorktown, IN - We have made it thru another weekend of racing.....This weekend saw the Great Deals Racing Team at Columbus Motor Speedway for the Sizzler Marine 125 pressented by E M H and T and Howe Racing....We rolled into Columbus, Ohio with the sun shining brightly and with two hours we were in one heck of a rain storm...After about 60 minutes of rain the weather cleared out and we we back at the job of putting both the Great Deals/McGunegill Engine # 26 Rick Turner Ford Fusion and the Great Deals/McGunnegill Engine/Champion Windows/Freeport Press # 32 Bret Miles Jr. Chevrolet Monte Carlo into todays race.  Rick qualified 9th and Bret Miles Jr, in only his second race in a Super Late Model, did not lock himself into the race and had to race his way into the race thru the last chance race...Only two cars were being taken from the 15 lap last chance race and after spinning in the race Bret finished 6th and was at the mercy of the promoters to put him into the starting field for the big show that evening...Well, Bret was in the show by a promoters option and we thank all who were responsible for that decision...

The Sizzler Marine 125 was one of the best shows of the season in my opinion...A lot of door to door racing and a lot of action on the track....When all was said and done after the race the Great Deals/McGunneigll Engine # 26 of Rick Turner finished a 9th and Bret Miles Jr. finished a very respecable 15th for only his second start in a Super Late Model.....This run by Rick should move him up in the points standing a notch or two this week....Bret got just exactly what he needed and what we had projected at this point in the year....Valuable "seat time"... the only goal on this year for the Bret Miles Jr. number 32 car was to get a lot of "seat time" and get Bret familiar with driving a Super Late Model and working with the Great Deals Race Team in his development for the run for Rookie of the year in 2008....

All in All it was a great weekend and one we are pleased with....

Next Week sees us in the Great Deals Coupon Magazine Back yard at the Anderson Speedway for the Great Deals 125 off the High Bank at the fastest high banked quarter mile racetrack in the Nation...The Anderson
Speedway....Qualifying is at 6:30 and the Green Flag drops at 8 pm....We invite all of you out to watch both Great Deals/Mcgunegill Engine cars in action next Saturday, June 9....
