Jack Smith Back In Front Of The Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Standings

Salem, IN (June 19, 2007) – Jack Smith has retaken the lead of the Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Standings after six CRA Super Series events so far this season heading into Saturday’s 6th Annual Elmer Musgrave Memorial Presented By Texas Corral at Illiana Motor Speedway in Schererville, Indiana. Smith has previously led the standings earlier in the season, but had recently been passed by rookie contender Nick Baran. Smith now leads with 24 improved positions so far during the 2007 season while Baran drops to second with 23 improved positions.

Another Rookie contender Sean Matthuis is now in third with 22 improved positions and continues to gain on the leaders with each event. A third rookie contender Ray Mooi has now moved into a fourth place tie with A. J. Ganino with 19 improved positions. Part-time competitor Bret Miles Jr. is currently in sixth with 18 improved positions followed by Jason Shively in seventh with 16 improved positions with series points leader Chris Gabehart in eighth with 12 improved positions.
