Ray Mooi Takes Full Time
Job At Cunningham Motorsports
(7.23.07) - After just a couple weeks
to reflect on his ARCA RE/MAX Series debut at Berlin Raceway on July
7th, Ray Mooi felt his strong run was very productive. He was fast
in practice and qualified an impressive 11th. Ray ran 3rd
through 15th all night until lap 192 when a couple of lapped cars
tangled and shot up the track collecting him, ending his night
early. Despite the disappointment of an early exit, Mooi and the
team very happy about the strong run that the #4 Dodge had all
night.
Ray’s
ability to make good decisions
showed his maturity on and off the track. These important
characteristics have opened doors to an excellent opportunity at
Cunningham Motorsports. Ray will be working at Cunningham
Motorsports full-time to learn as much about these cars as
possible. This will hopefully shorten the learning curve between
the CRA Super Series and the ARCA RE/MAX Series. But more
importantly, this opportunity allows him to be involved in setting
up cars and working on them at the racetracks. This will help
better the communication between driver and crew.
Ray will be running a couple more ARCA
RE/MAX Series races for Cunningham Motorsports in the 2007, with
hopes of running the full 2008 season for Mark Gibson and the
Cunningham Motorsports team. Ray will continue to compete with the
CRA Super Series, including the series next event, the Budweiser 250
Presented By Great Deals at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, August
4th. Ray would also like to thank Mark and all the guys for all
their hard work on the ARCA RE/MAX Series car at Berlin Raceway.
Taking this opportunity, Ray is very excited to be involved with one
of the pinnacle teams of the ARCA RE/MAX Series.
