specialized in oval track drive train components after founder Tex
Powell, the namesake of Tex Racing, experienced the outsourcing and
specialization trends by race teams. Tex Racing builds complete
transmissions for many NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch Series and Craftsman
Truck Series teams. Tex Racing driveline components are also used in
many high performance vehicles including late models, road race
vehicles, and almost every type of oval track competition. Tex Racing

past 30 years. Tex Racing is dedicated to providing the best complete
transmissions, driveshafts and rear ends, replacement components,
maintenance and service.
In 2000, Tex Racing joined Hawk
Corporation, forming with Quarter Master and Hawk Brake the Hawk
Performance Group. The merger added engineering and a larger range of
products to Tex Racing’s already extensive arsenal. Tex Racing is
centered around, not just a man, founder Tex Powell, but also around
ideas of men who believe that racing should provide a good reliable
show and who still have that fascination with making things go faster.
