Performance Wire Four State Challenge To Begin With The Spring Clash

– CRA Super Series officials have announced that Scott Performance
Wire will return as the sponsor of the Scott Performance Wire Four
State Challenge, an award program based upon four selected CRA Super
Series points events in the four states the series will have points
events
in 2007. The Scott Performance Wire Four State Challenge is set to
begin with the Spring Clash 150 CRA Super Series season opening event
at the Music City Motorplex at the Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee
on Sunday, April 1. Pensacola, Florida native Eddie Mercer won that
event last year, his first ever win with the CRA Super Series and his
first win at the Music City Motorplex.
The other three events in the Scott
Performance Wire Four State Challenge in 2007 will be the May 26th
event at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan, the June 2nd
event at Columbus Motor Speedway located in Columbus, Ohio, and the
September 3rd Labor Day event at Winchester Speedway
located in Winchester, Indiana.
The Scott Performance Wire Six State
Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the
four events a $600 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The
second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge
will receive a $400 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott
Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will receive a $200 bonus. Scott
Performance Wire will also award the 2007 CRA Super Series Champion
with a set of Scott Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott
Performance Wires that will be given away by random draw of the top
fifteen teams in final series points at the 2007 series awards
banquet.
2006 CRA Super Series Champion Scott
Hantz won the 2006 Scott Performance Wire Challenge, Hantz’s margin of
victory was 61 points over second place Eddie Van Meter, it was the
largest margin of victory in the Scott Performance Wire Challenge
since it started in 2002. Hantz was the winner of the 2004 edition of
the Scott Performance Wire Challenge with a 44-point victory over
Junior Hanley. Tommy St. John finished in third place last season
followed by JR Roahrig in fourth place and 2006 CRA Super Series
Rookie Of The Year Danny Jackson in fifth.
