FLF Racecars To
Sponsor CRA Super Series Rookie Performance Award
Salem, IN (February 20, 2007)
– CRA Super Series officials have announced that FLF Racecars,
formally Finishline Fabricating, located in Allegan, Michigan, will be
an award sponsor
with
the series again in 2007. The FLF Racecars Rookie Performance Award
will go to a randomly draw registered CRA Super Series Rookie Of The
Year competitor who completes in at least 75% of the events during the
2007 CRA Super Series season. The winner will be drawn at the 2007
series awards banquet. The winner of the FLF Racecars Rookie
Performance Award will receive a FLF Racecars Bare Offset Chassis from
FLF Racecars. The award winning team will be responsible for the cost
to complete the chassis to a rolling chassis.
FLF Racecars is owned and operated by
veteran Late Model racer Tim Curry. Curry’s business has become one of
the top Outlaw Late Model chassis and body manufactures in the region.
FLF Racecars started fabricating Template Late Model chassis’s in
2003, and had seen that side of the business continue to grow each
season. FLF Racecars is distributed in the South by Steve Dorer’s
Racecar Engineering in Lakeland, Florida, were FLF Racecars have
become quite popular.
Curry took the FLF Racecars "House
Car" to victory lane at Berlin Raceway on Saturday, May 27th,
2006 to get his first ever CRA Super Series victory. Curry made a late
pass on Scott Hantz to get the victory after a tight three-way battle
all race long that also included Billy Shotko. Many thought the event
was one of the best ever CRA Super Series races in its ten year
history. Earlier that day, Curry set a new series track record in
claiming the fast qualifier award. Curry also got a fourth place
finish at Kalamazoo Speedway and a sixth place finish at Toledo
Speedway with the CRA Super Series in 2006.
Veteran racer Jack Landis took his
FLF Racecar to victory in the series 2006 season opener on April 15th
at Anderson Speedway. Landis made the pass on Andy Ponstein on lap 64
and went on to get the victory, his second with the CRA Super Series.
Landis got a second place finish in the series event in July at Angola
Motor Speedway.
