CRA Tidbits from the PRI Show in
Orlando, Florida on Saturday:
Georgia late model racer and former
All American winner Jason Hogan was walking through the show on
Saturday. Hogan is planning on racing in SpeedFest 2008 next month,
and hopes to race all the CRA Super Series big events in 2008!
Veteran Florida late model racer Mike
Fritts was checking out the new products for 2008, he will have a
Mark Martin owned car at SpeedFest 2008 with a new development
driver for NASCAR veteran Mark Martin's Driver Development Team.
Fritts heads up Martin's late model driver development team.
Pensacola native Eddie Mercer was
there and also indicated he would be racing at SpeedFest next month
and hopes to compete in the bigger CRA Super Series events in 2008.
Top ten series points finisher Jack
Smith was touring the show with part-time series racer Bob Sibila
Jr. Smith indicated he plans on competing in the Crate Late Model
Challenge portion of SpeedFest next month at Lakeland.
Mike Blackmer, owner of Boyne Machine
in Michigan, was touring the show with two of his racers, Fred
Campbell and Terry Van Haitsma. Look for some big announcements
coming soon that involve Boyne Machine and a 2008 CRA Super Series
event!
Series car owner Jim Mougette had a
booth at PRI for his new Great Deals Racing Magazine. He is still
taking applications for a development driver for his #32 CRA Super
Series late model to compete full time with the series in 2008.
