DENNIS SCHOENFELD
PREPARES FOR 2007 TRIPLE CROWN EVENTS
(Concord, NC) Dennis
Schoenfeld is putting the finishing touches on his second Super Late
Model in preparation for the Championship Racing Association (CRA)
Super Series Triple Crown events to be held at O’Reilly Raceway Park,
Indianapolis, IN, Winchester Speedway, Winchester, IN and Music City
Motorplex, Nashville, TN. Dennis will close out the 2007 season by
competing in the annual Mason-Dixon Meltdown at Concord Motorsports
Park.
Dennis stated earlier today, "we will
soon have Thumper IV complete and it will be identical to the newer
Thumper V that we debuted a few times last year with great results.
Having two equally prepared Hamke chassis will make life a little
easier as we prepare for these Triple Crown races that are 100, 400
and 300 laps respectively."
In a tune up event, Dennis will take
his #43 SCHOENFELD HEADERS/LINEX by CAROLINA AUTO TRIM/MOTORSPORTS
DESIGNS/JOE GIBBS RACING OIL Monte Carlo (Thumper IV) to Winchester
Speedway for a Labor Day weekend $3,000 to win 100 lap race September
1-3. Depending on work schedules and weather patterns Dennis will
either return to the racing heartland to test at O’Reilly Raceway Park
in Indianapolis or go to South Georgia Motorsports Park for test
sessions prior to the September 22 $10,000 to win 100 lap event at the
famous O’Reilly Raceway Park. This will be the first leg of the CRA
Super Series Triple Crown. Dennis will return to Winchester for round
two of the Triple Crown October 12-14 for a monster $12,000 to win 400
lap marathon. The final stage will be a $10,000 to win 300 lap event
at the Music City Motorplex in Nashville, November 2-4.
"Randy Dean has provided some
exceptional chassis, shock and spring setups and called some great
races so we’re really excited about the current strength of our
SCHOENFELD HEADERS RACING team". Dennis, the 2002 Southern All Star
Series "Rookie of the Year" and winner of two Concord Big Ten races is
confident his two-car team is prepared to do battle with the strongest
asphalt SLM pilots in the nation. Dennis will close out the season
November 16-17 at Concord’s Mason-Dixon Meltdown.
