Special from
Hendricks County Motorsports / Circle Track Nationals
SPEC Racing Engines signs on as the
official engine builder of the Inaugural Circle Track Nationals
(8.1.2007):
Chris Gabehart and Jim Winters have announced that Scott Fisher’s SPEC
Racing Engines will be the official engine builder of the Inaugural
Circle Track Nationals, September 21 & 22 at O’Reilly Raceway Park.
Scott’s
Performance Engine Center (SPEC Engines) has been the engine builder
for
Hendricks County Motorsports for the last several years. Together,
they have accumulated 3 track records (still standing) at Toledo
Speedway, Columbus Motor Speedway and the Music City Motorplex. The
team has also accumulated four CRA Super Series wins, all at tracks
where horsepower is a premium.
Other notable
front runners powered by SPEC Racing Engines are CRA Standouts Chuck
Barnes JR. and Tommy St. John. Each of them has accumulated several
victories and fast times using SPEC Racing Engines.
SPEC Engines
had its beginnings in 1994 as an automotive machine shop. After
building engines for a few local racers, a winning trend set in. With
a great deal of success, the production of racing engines became
SPEC's primary service. In 1999, SPEC opened a new division catering
specifically to the racing community. Although a great deal of their
work pertains to all levels of the circle track industry, they also
provide services for drag racing, muscle cars, pulling tractors, and
marine performance.
