Ray Mooi Now
Leads The Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Standings
Salem, IN (August 8, 2007) –
Ray Mooi has taken over the lead of the Cometic Gasket Hardcharger
Standings after eight CRA Super Series events so far this season
heading into Saturday’s 6th Annual Elmer Musgrave Memorial
100 Presented By Texas Corral at Illiana Motor Speedway in
Schererville, Indiana. Mooi, a rookie contender from new Lenox,
Illinois, gained 12 positions finishing in sixth in last Saturday’s
Budweiser 250 at Anderson Speedway to raise his total to 39 gained
positions for the season.
Jack Smith gained one position last
Saturday to raise his total to
29
gained positions to date, which dropped him to second in the
standings. Part-time series driver Bret Miles Jr. is currently in
third with 23 gained positions, while only competing in five events to
date including last Saturday’s event were he gained two positions.
Rookie contender Sean Matthuis is now
fourth with 19 gained positions after moving up five positions in last
Saturday’s event. Fellow rookie Nick Baran is now in fifth with 16
gained positions, he gained two positions in last Saturday’s event.
CRA Super Series point’s leader Chris Gabehart is in sixth with nine
gained positions.
