garnered in not one,
but two test sessions at Winchester Speedway, became apparent when the
two teams overcame the qualifying hurdle to make the starting field of
NASCAR’s most popular race to the delight of fans and sponsors alike.
For Hendricks Motorsports, testing within the
last year at Winchester Speedway helped establish them as an early
leader in the Car of Tomorrow success. Hendricks drivers Jeff Gordon
and Kyle Busch swept the first ever Car of Tomorrow event at Bristol
in the spring, with Gordon taking the pole and Busch the event winner.
The NASCAR connection continues in the 2007
season, as super sophomore David Stremme, driver of the #40 Coors
Light Dodge, will return to his roots in Indiana to race in the 36th
Annual Winchester 400 in his own CRA Super Series Late Model on Sunday
October 14th.
