Barnes Jr. Looks To
Claim Second All American 400 Guitar
Louisville, KY (October 30, 2006)
– Chuck Barnes Jr. has enjoyed a lot of success at the famous Music
City Motorplex oval at the Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee. In
2004 Barnes Jr., having just won the 2004 CRA Super Series season
championship, capped off his dream season by winning one of the
biggest and most famous racing events in the country, the newly
revived All American 400.

"I can still remember crossing the
finish line under the checkered flag, wondering when I was going to
wake up from the dream," stated Barnes Jr. "I couldn’t believe I
actually won that race, joining the awesome list of winners of the All
American 400. I had seen Frank Kimmel’s Guitar Trophy from winning an
ARCA race on the Nashville big track, I told him I was going to go win
Nashville Guitar Trophy, I still to this day can’t believe I did it"
"It was a great way to end the 2004
season, we won the CRA Super Series Championship, set on the pole of
the All American 400, and got the win over two of the greatest late
model racers ever, Eddie Hoffman and Jason Hogan. That win has helped
open many doors since, it’s something I will never forget!"
Barnes Jr. has four top five finishes
in the five events he has run at the Music City Motorplex. Besides his
win in 2004, Barnes Jr. finished fifth in the North/South 200 in 2003,
he finished ninth in the 2005 All American 400 that was won by Jason
Hogan, he finished fourth in the 150 lap CRA Super Series event this
past March and finished fourth in the Firecracker 150 All American
Super Late Model Event in July after leading the first 97 laps.
The 2006 Salem Speedway KY Clutch &
Performance Late Model Champion hopes to get the same results in 2006
that he did in 2004.
"It would be a great way to cap off a
great season. I won the season championship at Salem Speedway along
with a couple of wins there. I got my fourth CRA Super Series win at
Baer Field Speedway in May, and got a victory in my first ever ARCA
RE/MAX Series event at Toledo Speedway on August 31st. It
would be really spectacular to get a second Guitar Trophy for winning
Sunday’s race, especially against the super field of cars that are
entered for this year’s event. 77 of the best teams and drivers in the
country, and they all want the same thing I want!"
Barnes Jr.’s #55 Port City Monte
Carlo will have sponsor support for this weekends All American 400
event from Crown Spray Power Multi-Purpose Cleaner, Anytime Towing,
Speed Media, ARP Stock Car Bodies, AP Racing, Hawk Performance and
Blake Carburetion. More information is available on Chuck Barnes Jr.
