Performance Wire Six State Challenge To Begin With The All American
150
Salem, IN (March 2, 2006) –
CRA Super Series officials have announced that Scott Performance Wire
will return as the sponsor of the Scott Performance Wire Six State
Challenge, an award
program
based upon six selected CRA Super Series points events in the six
states the series will have points events in 2006. The Scott
Performance Wire Six State Challenge is set to begin with the All
American 150 CRA Super Series season opening event at the Music City
Motorplex at the Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday,
March 18th. That event will be the first ever CRA Super
Series points event held in the state of Tennessee.
The other five events in the Scott
Performance Wire Six State Challenge will be the May 27th
event at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan, the July 2nd
event at Toledo Speedway located in Toledo, Ohio, the July 29th
event at New Paris Speedway located in New Paris, Indiana, the August
19th event at I-70 Speedway located in Odessa, MO and will
conclude with the September 24th 41st Annual
National Short Track Championships at Rockford Speedway located in
Rockford, Illinois.
The Scott Performance Wire Six State
Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the
six events a $600 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The
second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge
will receive a $400 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott
Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will receive a $200 bonus. Scott
Performance Wire will also award the 2006 CRA Super Series Champion
with a set of Scott Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott
Performance Wires that will be given away by random draw of the top
fifteen teams in final series points at the 2006 series awards
banquet.
Eddie Hoffman won the 2005 Scott
Performance Wire Five State Challenge with 456 total points over
second place Jeff Lane with 432 points. In the five races that made up
last years challenge, Hoffman got one win and two second place
finishes which helped him claim the award. Finishing in third was
16-year-old Landon Cassill with 416 points, in fourth was JR Roahrig
with 407 points, and finishing fifth was Eddie Van Meter with 405
points.
