Salem, IN (June 27, 2006) – CRA Super Series veteran racer Scott Hantz leads the Scott Performance Wire Six State Challenge standings, an award program based upon six selected CRA Super Series points events in the six states the series will have points events in 2006, heading into Sunday’s A.P. Racing Engines 100 at Toledo Speedway. The Scott Performance Wire Six State Challenge began with the All American 150 CRA Super Series season opening event at the Music City Motorplex at the Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee on March 18^th. The second event was the Berlin 125 At Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan. After the two events Hantz was the leader with 182 points earned in those two events. The Angola, Indiana’s second place finish in the Berlin Raceway event pushed him into the lead.

The Scott Performance Wire Six State Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the six events a $600 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will receive a $400 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will receive a $200 bonus. Scott Performance Wire will also award the 2006 CRA Super Series Champion with a set of Scott Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott Performance Wires that will be given away by random draw of the top fifteen teams in final series points at the 2006 series awards banquet.

Edgerton, Ohio’s Jack Landis is currently tied for second in the Scott Performance Wire Six State Challenge standings with 16 year old CD-2 Rookie Of The Year candidate Alec Carll of Grand Rapids, Michigan with 174 points each. Michigan natives Billy Shotko of West Olive and Andy Ponstein of Jenison are forth and fifth with 172 and 171 points respectively.

The other three events in the Scott Performance Wire Six State Challenge will be the July 29^th event at New Paris Speedway located in New Paris, Indiana, the August 19^th event at I-70 Speedway located in Odessa, MO and will conclude with the September 24^th, 41st Annual National Short Track Championships at Rockford Speedway located in Rockford, Illinois.
