Lead Harris Cutting Torches & Regulators Season Lap Leader Awards
Salem, IN (July 7, 2006) –
Jeff Lane and Eddie Mercer currently lead the Harris Cutting Torches &
Regulators Season Lap Leader Awards after 9 of 19 events on the 2006
CRA Super Series Presented
By
Spray Power schedule. Harris Cutting Torches & Regulators, a division
of Harris Calorific, will award the CRA Super Series driver that leads
the most laps in the regular 100/125 lap series points events on the
2006 schedule with a set of Harris Cutting Torches & Regulators. Lane
currently leads in that category with 145 laps lead to date.
Lane, the 2005 CRA Super Series
Drivers Points Champion, has a one lap lead over second place Scott
Hantz who has lead 144 laps in the shorter distance series races. Lane
scored a series victory in the Manning Service 100 at Winchester
Speedway in April, while Hantz is still trying to get his first
victory of the 2006 season, but has finished second in four series
events this season. Nathan Haseleu is currently third with 77 laps
lead and is followed by Donnie Hill and Andy Ponstein tied for fourth
with 63 laps lead. Jack Landis and
Bobby
Parsley are tied for sixth with 62 laps lead. The winner of last
seasons Harris Cutting Torches & Regulators Season Lap Leader Awards
Chris Gabehart is currently in 12th place with only 8 laps
lead so far in 2006.
In addition, Harris Cutting Torches &
Regulators will award the driver who leads the most laps in the
special multi lap events on the 2006 CRA Super Series schedule with a
set of Harris Cutting Torches & Regulators. The All American 150 at
the Music City Motorplex on March 18th is the only event
held in that category to date. Eddie Mercer leads this category with
132 laps lead in getting the victory in the All American 150. Tim
Schendel is in second with the 18 laps he lead in the All American
150. The Anderson 250 at Anderson Speedway on July 15th,
the 200 lap National Short Track Championships at Rockford Speedway on
September 25th, the Winchester 400 at Winchester
Speedway on October 15th and the All American 300 at Music
City Motorplex will be the other special multi lap series events in
2006.
