CONCORD, NC (February 3, 2006) – While most of the country is still in the depths of winter, the short track racing season will be kicking off with nine nights of hot action at New Smyrna Speedway during Florida Speedweeks. The World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at the sunshine state speedway takes place from February 10^th-18^th and Speed51.com will be all over the pit area, providing fans in-depth and cutting-edge coverage that fans of the nation’s leading short track website have come to expect. The nation’s best Super Late Model, NASCAR tour-type and SK Modifieds, Pro Truck and other local division drivers will converge on the New Smyrna half-mile to take part in one of the most historic short track events in the country. Smyrna Speedweeks is nine nights chock full of the best racing on the east coast of Florida. The weekend of action culminates with the Richie Evans Memorial 100-lap event for the tour-type Modifieds on Friday, February 11^th, and the Pete Orr Memorial 100 for the Super Late Models the following night.

"We’ve got several people going to Florida with our organization to help us bring you the coverage you want," added Dillner. "Howie and Mary Hodge and Jim DuPont will provide us with additional photography to our own stuff and my brother, Matt, and I will be there several nights after working the big track (Daytona Int’l Speedway). But the mainstay for the Smyrna coverage will be the 51 anchorman, Jeremy Troiano, and rookie, Matt Kentfield, and they can’t wait to get behind the scenes."
