Sevey Motorsports
To Compete In Selected CRA Super Series Events in 2006
Salem, IN (February 9, 2006) –
Sevey Motorsports has announced that they will compete in selected CRA
Super Series events during the 2006 race season. Doug Sevey owns Sevey
Motorsports,
his
son Chris is the driver. The team will compete in selected series
events while also competing with the ASA Late Model Challenge and
Northern Series as well as some USST Super Truck events.
The 23-year-old Sevey started racing
go-karts when he was 8 years old on dirt, asphalt and road courses,
winning over 200 features and was Nationally Ranked. Sevey then moved
to ¾ midgets and then to Legend Cars becoming the Iowa State Asphalt
Champion with 7 feature wins at Hawkeye Downs and was second in the
Legend Dirt Nationals in Charlotte, North Carolina. Recently Sevey has
been competing in a Late Model at Hawkeye Downs were he has recorded 7
feature wins.
The Waterloo, Iowa based team will
have Lefthander Chassis’s for both the CRA Super Series and ASA Late
Model Series with help from Nick Carlson, Crew Chief for two time
NASCAR Midwest Elite Series Champion Justin Diercks. Sevey Motorsports
will have sponsorship help from Papa Johns Pizza, Enseva, AEM Engines,
3E Electric, P3 Power Sytems, Coke and US Cellular. The team is still
currently seeking additional sponsor help for the 2006 season. More
