CRA Super Series
Drivers Competing In The 40th Annual World Series of
Asphalt Stock Car Racing At New Smyrna Speedway
Salem, IN (February 10, 2006)
– Several CRA Super Series Teams will be competing in the 40th
Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing starting tonight
through February 18th at New
Smyrna
Speedway in Samsula, Florida in the Super Late Model Division. Eddie
Van Meter, Jack Landis, Landon Cassill and Greg Boone are all there
today for opening day and plan on competing the entire 8 days of
racing action for the 40th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car
Racing Super Late Model Championship.
Boone is coming off a great second
place run in the Riverfest 100 at New Smyrna Speedway on January 14th
coming from his 6th place starting position. Sanford,
Florida’s Mike Fritts, who also won the Mark III Speedfest 200 at USA
International Speedway on January 28th, won that event.
Both Van Meter and Landis are
veterans of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing having
competed there several times, with both having several good runs. The
16-year-old Cassill will be competing in his first ever World Series
of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. Tim "Tire Man" Sibila will also be
competing in the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing but not
until next week. Sibila has competed part-time with the CRA Super
Series the past two years and competed in the World Series of Asphalt
Stock Car Racing last year.
CRA Super Series owners R.J. Scott
and Glenn Luckett will be in Florida during Speedweeks and will be
attending several night of racing at the 40th Annual World Series of
Asphalt Stock Car Racing. The CRA Super Series office will be closed
from February 11th through February 19th. You
