Hendricks County
Motorsports To Field Second Car At Selected Events
Salem, IN (February 26, 2006)
– Hendricks County Motorsports owner Jim Winters announced today that
he will field a second car, in addition to the Sondi Eden Roush Racing
Development Driver deal with the Hendricks County Motorsports #10 car,
in selected CRA Super Series events during the 2006 season. The
Hendricks County Motorsports team has a great history of success in
late model racing with various drivers over the years and has been a
great supporter of the CRA Super Series since its beginning in 1997.
There will be three different drivers
in the second car at selected events during the season. 2004 CRA Super
Series Rookie Of the Year Chris Gabehart, a full-time competitor with
the series in 2004 and 2005, will compete in selected events during
the 2006 season. Gabehart scored his first CRA Super Series win last
year at Winchester Speedway on May 22nd.
Veteran Indianapolis racer Chet
Fillip, who has started both the Indianapolis 500 and the Daytona 500,
will also return to compete in selected events for Hendricks County
Motorsports in 2006. Fillip holds the distinction of being the only
person to win both the Little 500 Sprint Car event and the Anderson
400 Stock Car event at Anderson Speedway.
Bloomington, Indiana’s Kent Robinson
will also run selected events with the Hendricks County Motorsports
team in 2006. Robinson competed for the team in four CRA Super Series
events in 2005 with a best finish of 12th at the Anderson
400 in July.
