Louisville, KY (February 4, 2006) – Chuck Barnes Jr. Racing now has a Late Model Rental Ride Program available for the 2006 season for interested individuals to compete with the CRA Super Series or at selected events at Salem Speedway. The car is one that Chuck Barnes Jr. has driven to several victories, the car will be maintained and setup by Chuck Barnes Jr., the 2004 CRA Super Series Champion and finalist in the Roush Racing Search For DRIVER X, 13-part mini-series on the Discovery Channel.

"We just started this program for the 2006 season," remarked Barnes Jr. "Right now I don’t have anything else going on, so we will compete with the CRA Super Series and will have the Late Model Rental Ride Program in place to help pay for some of my racing bills during the 2006 season. Hopefully we can have some good runs starting with the CRA Super Series 150 lap season opener at the Music City Motorplex in Nashville."

"I talked with about every racing team in Charlotte since the Roush Racing Search For Driver X Show aired, but couldn’t get a break with any of them. I have also talked with several ARCA RE/MAX Series teams and some Hooters Pro Cup teams, but all those teams wanted the driver to bring a lot of money, unfortunately I haven’t found enough sponsor money yet to pay to get one of those rides. I’ll just keep trying to win races and keep my name out there, hopefully the right deal will come along so I can further my racing career."

The Chuck Barnes Jr. Late Model Rental Ride Program will give individuals the opportunity to race some CRA Super Series or Salem Speedway Late Model events in good equipment with the set-up knowledge that Barnes Jr. has obtained working on his own Late Model equipment that past five years. Barnes Jr. is a multi time winner with the CRA Super Series including the prestigious All American 300 at the Music City Motorplex in Nashville in 2004. He also has multi wins on the High Banks of Salem Speedway as well as setting the Late Model track record at the 2004 CRA Super Series season championship event at Salem Speedway.
