Scott Hantz Leads The Scott Performance Wire Six State Challenge Heading Into Saturday’s Missouri 150 Presented By Gail’s Harley Davidson at I-70 Speedway

Salem, IN (August 15, 2006) – CRA Super Series veteran racer Scott Hantz leads the Scott Performance Wire Six State Challenge standings, an award program based upon six selected CRA Super Series points events in the six states the series will have points events in 2006, heading into Saturday’s Missouri 150 Presented By Gail’s Harley Davidson at I-70 Speedway, located in Odessa, Missouri.

The Scott Performance Wire Six State Challenge began with the All American 150 CRA Super Series season opening event at the Music City Motorplex at the Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee on March 18th. The second event was the Berlin 125 At Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan. The third event was Saturday, July 29th at New Paris Speedway in New Paris, Indiana. The fourth event was last Friday night at Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio were Scott Hantz got his first victory of the 2006 season. After the first four events of the Challenge Hantz is the leader with 382 points earned in those four events. The Angola, Indiana native is also the current points leader in the CRA Super Series Season Championship points race.

The Scott Performance Wire Six State Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the six events a $600 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will receive a $400 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will receive a $200 bonus. Scott Performance Wire will also award the 2006 CRA Super Series Champion with a set of Scott Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott Performance Wires that will be given away by random draw of the top fifteen teams in final series points at the 2006 series awards banquet.

With his win at New Paris and a third place finish at Toledo Speedway Friday night, JR Roahrig has now moved into second place in the Challenge with 357 points, 25 behind Hantz. Tommy St. John is now in third place with 342 points, Jack Landis is in fourth with 340 points and Eddie Van Meter, with his second place finish at Toledo Speedway last Friday night, has now moved into fifth place with 334 points.

The final event in the Scott Performance Wire Six State Challenge will be the September 24th, 41st Annual International Trucks National Short Track Championships at Rockford Speedway located in Rockford, Illinois.
