Opportunity Motor Sports to Field 2 Cars in Manning Service 100
West Lafayette,
IN (April 17,2006) – The weekend of April 22nd and 23rd, 2006
will present the biggest challenge to date to the members of Purdue
University Opportunity Motorsports. At the famed ½ mile Winchester
Speedway in Winchester, IN, Circle Bound Racing and Opportunity
Motorsports will be fielding not one, but two teams in the CRA Super
Series Manning Service 100.
In the team's primary number 14 ARC Racing Engines Super Late Model,
Nashville's Zach Taylor will look to build on the momentum from the
All-American 150 with another effort. Taylor's aptitude on the
high-banked tracks has the entire Opportunity Motorsports/CBR team
optimistic that the race will yield great results.
Making CBR/Opportunity Motorsports one of the very few multi-car
teams in the field, team owner and veteran racer Chet Blanton will
compete in a team car to Taylor, numbered 41. This second team will
surely mean a very busy weekend for the OM team, but an opportunity
to double the team's experience gained, particularly in working with
both a young racer and a veteran wheelman.
Opportunity Motorsports and its members are anxious to get to the
track and hopefully make an impression on the racing community and
gain valuable experience. Stay tuned for updates.
