2006 Indy 500 Fan
Tour To A Part Of Winchester Speedway’s Opening Event
Winchester, IN (April 11, 2006)
– The 2006 Indy 500 Fan Tour will be a part of the April 23rd
season opening event at Winchester Speedway. The Indy 500 Fan Tour
includes a 35 ft trailer filled with Indianapolis 500 activities and
memorabilia. The display will also include a full size Indy Car
Simulator as well as these other exciting activities: put on head
phones and listen in to the last 20 laps of Dan Wheldon and Danica
Patrick as they are coached to the checkered flag, experience the
hands on exhibit of a driver’s fire suit and helmet, snap a photo next
to a cutout of Dan Wheldon or Danica Patrick, watch 2005 racing
highlights on the big screen, learn what is behind the carbon fiber
and check out the 3D cut away Indy car.
There will also be a limited supply
of promotional posters that will be handed out to fans who arrive
early on Sunday, April 23rd. Also, fans attending the event
at Winchester Speedway on April 23rd will have the
opportunity to pick their Indianapolis 500 seats and purchase their
tickets at the wireless ticket station with the Indy 500 Fan Tour.
The 2006 Winchester Speedway season
opening event will include racing action for the USAC National Sprint
Car Series in the Rich Vogler Classic, the CRA Super Series late
models in the Manning Service 100 and the CRA Street Stocks. Spectator
gates open at 9:30am, practice begins at 10am, qualifying at 12noon,
the racing program will begin at 2PM. Additional information is
